HR Coordinator   – make a difference!

Imagine using your HR skills that contribute to the overall lives of those in need!   Unity Recovery Group, a premier treatment center for drug and alcohol addiction, is seeking a talented HR Coordinator to join our team of quality professionals.   You will be working closely with our HR Director to support all HR functions and will be actively involved in the day to day human resource issues at Unity.

Snapshot of key accountabilities:

  • Conducts New Hire Orientation training on a biweekly basis.
  • Handles all worker’s compensation claims and issues; tracks accidents on the OSHA log.
  • Oversees the Learning Management System including organizing, tracking, scheduling trainings and developing curriculums for all staff.
  • Works closely with managers and supervisors on employee relations and disciplinary actions; responds to employee complaints in a timely manner
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Administers compensation program; monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Assists in the evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of the HR department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Compiles reports from the Human Resource Information System records database.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Partners with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
  • Conducts exit interviews and analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • Represents the company for any unemployment claims.
  • Maintains and coordinates employee recognition programs.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge required:

  • 2 to 3 years experience in Human Resources Management
  • Background in employment law and other government compliance regulations is preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • 4 year degree in HR Management or related field preferred
  • SPHR or PHR is preferred
  • Valid Driver’s license for occasional travel to our other sites in Martin and Palm Beach County
