More about the role:

This position will be assisting the Controller and CFO in matters related to accounting, lease administration, reporting, property management and acquisitions.

Snapshot of key accountabilities:

  • Accounts Payable – review and process invoices, process employee reimbursements, management fees, commissions, work orders; bank reconciliations; 1099 and 1096 preparation
  • Accounts Receivable – enter new leases and renewals into system, invoice and tenant collections, post deposits, prepare CAM reconciliations, respond to calls from tenants
  • Financial Reporting – reconcile G/L accounts monthly, prepare dashboards, journal entries for recurring escrows, generate annual budgets from beginning to end
  • Vendor Management – manage vendor database in our systems

 

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Associates Degree mandatory; Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred
  • At least 3 years accounting experience preferred with good understanding of financial statements, balance and income statements, general ledger, income and expense variances, accounts payable and receivable
  • Commercial real estate experience including tenant collections preferred
  • Strong skills in MS Office (an Excel-based test will be given as part of the employment process that will require some basic knowledge of Excel as well as basic accounting)
  • Bilingual preferred
