Snapshot of key accountabilities:

  • Interact daily with our customers and partners by providing technical support via live chat, email and telephone
  • Troubleshoot email delivery failures or connectivity issues, website configuration changes within IIS, and performance or connectivity issues for customers with cloud services. 
  • Provide excellent customer services at all times, resolve the majority of issues on the first contact
  • Collaborate with teammates to resolve customer issues and escalating when necessary

Skills/Experience/Knowledge:

 

Required:

  • 2 + years experience in Web Hosting support or administering web servers
  • Working knowledge of HTTP, FTP, and DNS
  • Experience configuring email and troubleshooting
  • Windows Server 2003/2008 or 2012 server administration, configuration and troubleshooting
  • Administration of IIS6/IIS7
  • Able to work one of the following fulltime shifts:
    • 7am to 3pm, M-F
    • 3pm – 11pm, M-F
    • 7pm – 7am, Sat. and Sun and 11pm – 7am Mon-Tues

 

Preferred:

  • ·         Administration of MS SQL Server (2000,2005,2008 or 2012) and MySQL Server
  • ·         Familiar with automation software applications such as HELM, Plesk, CPanel or WebsitePanel.
  • ·         Familiar with ASP, ASP.NET, HTML or PHP Programming.
  • ·         Familiar with E-Commerce shopping cart applications such as BVCommerce, NOPCommerce or ASPDotNetStorefront
  • ·         Familiar with CMS applications like DotNetNuke and WordPress

Desired education & Certification:

  • ·         Some Level of Microsoft Certification (MCITP preferred)
  • ·         Degree in Computer Science / IT / MIS or related skill set
